Day 1: Reflections on Life and Food

Hello everybody, this is my first entry, and I am glad to say, that I am very happy about all the ideas I want to share with you about my biggest passion: cooking! I love eating and I love cooking, and I love testing new recipes on unsuspecting houseguests! This blog is meant to be fun, informative, full of random info and humor as well as history lessons and the food that got the people during that time through. I love research, and if you're looking for some fun while learning new tastes as well as being educated and entertained all at once, you've come to the right place. This blog is a precursor and info-gatherer for my website that will be launched in June. I hope to see lots of people coming to The Salted Chef for everything they ever wanted to know (or didn't know you wanted to know) about foods now and from long ago! All of my posts will include the food, the recipe, any history involved, and/or interesting things about the person or source I got it from. I also would like to hear about foods other people love and encourage people to submit thier favorite foods and the reason why they are so special. The food is awesome, but nobody should forget what made it possible for us to have it today.
